This medication is not indicated in patients with coronary artery disease or those taking beta-blockers. It is indicated in the treatment of hyperkalaemia (liver failure). It is also used in combination with specific beta-blockers to improve fluid retention and reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.
Aldactone 100 MG Oral Tablet contains the active ingredient spironolactone. It works by relaxing the muscles in the walls of the blood vessels and increasing the supply of blood to the heart. This medication is a calcium channel blocker. It relaxes the heart muscle and improves cardiac function. By relaxing the heart muscle, it increases the blood supply to the heart and reduces the workload of the heart. The relaxing effect of the heart muscle can increase the heart's pumping ability, blood flow to the brain, and improve heart rate.
This medication can be used in combination with other medications to improve potassium and electrolyte balance.
